Description

At the Madrid MIG-T meeting, it was agreed that a small preparatory team (Alex Ramage, Tim Duffy, Jari Reini, Jukka Rahkonen, Michael Lutz and Peter Baumann) will work on finalising the action description, the MIG-P prioritisation schema and the ToR for the MIWP-7b sub-group. These will then submitted in parallel to MIG-T and MIG-P for comments, and subsequently to MIG-P for endorsement (by written procedure).

Please find a first draft of the prioritisation form.  It is important to understand that these are my thoughts and are open for others to change.

Dear all,

in order not to lose the current momentum, I would like to propose a short web meeting to discuss the draft action description and prioritisation template. Maybe we can use this month's MIG-T slot, i.e. on Thursday, 26 March at 10:00 CET. If this doesn't work, I would set up a doodle.

Emmanuel & Jari: could you please inform Dimitri and Jukka.

It's probably best if they would join the Redmine. Please ask them to send me their ECAS usernames or alternatively to register directly in Redmine (see instructions).

And if there are any volunteers for drafting the ToR for a sub-group based on the action description before the meeting, that would be great, too.

Cheers,

Michael

Please find a draft for the sub-group ToR attached: ToR_MIG_sub-group_download_service_for_coverages_MIWP-7b.docx

It largely copies text from the action description. Some open issues are highlighted.

Thanks, Alex. Jukka is now registered in the platform and I have added him as a watcher to this issue. If you would like to involve also James Passmore in the discussion, please ask him to register as well and/or send me his ECAS username, so I can add him here, too.

And we forget to add a direct link here to the initial WCS mapping to INSPIRE report by Alexander Kotsev of JRC which was updated and published on 11/03/15 - useful reading and a start to WCS TG writing work going forward.

Dear Emmanuel,

Thanks for the interest. We just released with the help of UK colleagues an updated version of a study on WCS together with a proposal for mapping between WCS 2.0 and the required operations for INSPIRE download services. The document is here.

Best regards,
