Description

This is a Call for participation to the MIG temporary sub-group on Thematic clusters.

The Call, which is open only to the members of the MIG-T subgroup, is to identify MIG-T liaisons for each of the Thematic Clusters. According to the Terms of Reference there should be one primary MIG-T liaison for each cluster and one or more secondary ones. The interested MIG-T representatives will be asked to discuss and agree on the primary and secondary roles (if relevant).

The scope of the sub-group is to engage with the INSPIRE thematic communities to understand better their implementation experiences, existing issues etc.  The scope also covers discussions on received proposals for changes/additions to the INSPIRE Technical Guidelines or, if necessary, Implementing Rules.

Selected Cluster: Topographic and Cadastral Reference Data

Expertise: This cluster represents a number of the Annex 1 theme areas, my major expertise is in the Transport Theme, howver I have very good contacts with the other areas of the theme, working closely with Ordenance Survey (the national mapping Agency for GB) Registers of Scotland (the organisation that manages the issue of land titles in Scotland (similar to Cadastral Parcels).  I work closely with Scottish Government with the use of Administrative Units also.

Selected Cluster: Biodiversity and Management Areas Cluster

Expertise: I have been involved in the development of the INSPIRE data specifications in different roles, one of them as a facilitator of the INSPIRE Thematic Working Group on Area management / restriction / regulation zones and reporting units. Further experiences from the INSPIRE implementation are related to the pilot data transformation of the European data set Common Database on Designated Areas (CDDA) according to the INSPIRE Protected sites. Recently, I participate in several activities related to the reporting data flows and INSPIRE.

Expertise: I have been involved in the development of the INSPIRE regarding network services in different roles. Now I am working on the development of Table Joining Services (particularly based on OGC TJS) for the joining of tabular – mostly statistical data – to geographical data. One of the projects is  related to the application of the health statistics.
