Description

Using the INSPIRE validator, I got the warnings below and I try to fix them by changing the CharacterString into the gmx:Anchor tag but the xml doesn't validate due to the fact that the schema (http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmi http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmi/gmi.xsd) doesn't support gmx.

Which schema should I use?

Should the gmi schema needs to be updated to include/support gmx?

Dear Martine,

are you sure that gmi supports the gmx extensions?

Best regards,

Angelo

In addition, gmi was only allowed in the older version of the Technical Guidelines.

The warnings have been introduced only in the latest version and I would not worry about them.

I would worry more about the use of gmi.

Best regards,

Angelo

I use gmi for the MI_Metadata ==> for supporting ISO19115-2

#4 Updated by Angelo Quaglia about 2 years ago

I understand that but, as I said, ISO19115-2 is not mentioned in the latest guidelines. It has yet to be agreed upon in the INSPIRE MIG.

What about my first question:

"are you sure that gmi supports the gmx extensions?"

Indeed that is the problem. gmi doesn't seems to support gmx.

Can I use another schema for the MI_metadata ?

About the use of gmi and ISO19115-2, I want to refer to issue #3229.

Dear Martine,

as I wrote before, the latest guideines have dropped support for MI_Metadata.

You should contact the MIG-T representative for your Country so that the issue can be brought to the attention of the MIG-T.

The list of MIG-T representatives here:  https://inspire.ec.europa.eu/MIG-T-Representatives and here are those for Belgium:

Belgium Nathalie Delattre Nathalie.Delattre@ngi.be
Belgium Ouns Kissiyar ouns.kissiyar@kb.vlaanderen.be

Best regards,

Angelo
