Dear Octavian,

thank you for reporting the issue.

Indeed some accents and special characters have been lost.

We will proceed to implement the changes once the ongoing 2 weeks scrutiny period is over.

Best regards,

The INSPIRE registry team

Dear Lorena,

Sorry, but it seems there are some tricky things for Romania :) You could see this (maybe only) if you compare the Unicode code points (AltX in a .docx):
the "ş" and "ţ" in the translations carried out into Romanian are with cedilla (015F and 0163 Unicode), not with comma below (0219 and 021B Unicode)  - conform Unicode, the codification standard for Romania. These translations are a particular case...
Please, help us to correct this - the names in the attached file could be used.
Or it could be used "the Romanian keyboard STANDARD", not "the Romanian keyboard legacy" - in general, this also resolved the problem for the capital letters (but, maybe, for the current issue it is easier to use the attached file).
I observed this trying to put another issue - for the definitions of the themes.

Thank you very much and best regards,

Dear Octavian,

we double-checked the issue and found out that the errors of the wrong Unicode characters already occurs in the legal act (see https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/RO/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32007L0002&from=EN). Hence, the registry, while not correct, is consistent with the legal act.

We would prefer waiting for making the changes in the registry until the errors have been corrected in the Directive text (see https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2007/2/corrigendum/2009-01-15/oj for an example of a corrigendum in a specific language) or at least until such a corrigendum procedure has been started.

We suggest that you get in touch with DG Environment at ENV-INSPIRE@ec.europa.eu to discuss how best to proceed.

Best regards,
Michael

Dear Michael,

Thank you a lot. We will follow the way you indicate - most probably (we prepare), a corrigendum procedure will be started and we will come back.

Best regards,
Octavian/RO
