Description

Dear Geoportal Team,

In some Network service metadata (either WMS or ATOM FEED), we note the following issue :

The Coupled Resource (operatesOn)URL [GETRECORDBYID Request] is invalid because No ISO metadata resources found

Example

But the GetRecordByID Request runs correctly and the XML response is OK.

Is there any schema declaration issue on the XML returned by the request which make the error occurs.

Thanks for your feedback

Geoffroy

Dear Geoffroy,

I need to be at the office to analyse this thoroughly, but in the meantime could you please check the operatesOn linkes you have in your service metadata:

Dear Angelo,

Thanks for your quick feedback.

In the "Protected sites" network service metadata, we indeed noted the issue "outputSchema = http://standards.iso.org/iso/19115/-3/gmd." you mention above in both Download and View services. It's an isolated error from our side. We just migrate our metadata infrastructure to the lat release of GeoNetwork incl. the conversion of the metadata on ISO 19115-3.

But we noted this known issue only on the "Protected sites" network service metadata and not for the other INSPIRE theme network service metadata (outputschema is correct). However, the invalid Coupled Resource is identified on those other resources

Following the example I wrote on my initial post and checking the srv:operatesOn :

View service : INSPIRE - Services d'utilité publique et services publics en Wallonie (BE) - Service de visualisation WMS (Direction...

Download service :INSPIRE - Hydrographie en Wallonie (BE) - Service de téléchargement (Direction de l'intégration des géodonnées (SPW ...

The Coupled Resource (operatesOn)URL "http://metawal.wallonie.be/geonetwork/srv/fre/csw?service=CSW&request=GetRecordById&version=2.0.2&outputSchema=http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd&elementSetName=full&id=3d0a1067-5856-431f-9813-57d83fc3d59b" is invalid because No ISO metadata resources found

The GetRecordByID URL is OK but the error is still there. Any suggestion about this error?

Thanks very much for your feedback

Dear Angelo,

Sorry to bother you.

Could you check further the invalid coupled Resource for the Network Services mentioned above (that I write again below)

Or could you indicate how we could solve the validation error?

Thank you very much for your feedback

Dear Geoffroy,

you service seems fine to me.

I am also seeing spurious issues that appear under specific technical conditions of the execution environment.

I will keep you posted.

Best regards,

Angelo

Dear Geoffroy,

the issue is really weird and unexpected but I think I have found a workaround which I am currently testing.

Dear Angelo,

Many thanks to solve this issue. Indeed, I don't see the error anymore except for only one download service metadata resource INSPIRE - Sols en Wallonie (BE) - Service de téléchargement (Direction de l'intégration des géodonnées (SPW - SG - D... (http://inspire-geoportal.ec.europa.eu/proxybrowser/#q=e67579fd-4653-4228-8139-1bf3f8539693) with the CoupledResource id=0b644920-ff5e-4aac-a124-8b478bda606c, while the view service metatada including the same coupledResource is OK

Best regards and many thanks again to your great effort.

Many thanks for checking Geoffroy.

So, there is still room for improvement.

The behaviour is erratic and I cannot reproduce it easily. I think it manifests itself depending on the load of the server when the validation is performed.

I will work on that.
