SE: Understanding numbers in harvesting console

When we harvest metadata  using the harvesting console we some different record counts we would need some explanation


In image below we see metadata records count:443
The CSW we publish from generates 524 records. What could be the reason from this difference


It shows 256 metadata records harvested. The records not harvested 443 - 256 what can be  the reason for thoose records not beeing harvested ?




When inspecting some records not handled by harvesting console and that is not visible in harvesting console. Eg they are among the record not harvested.

They are approved except the resource locator for download is not ok. 


Why are they not harvested , any clue ?

Dear Michael,

I unarchived the harvesting  performed on 13th Sep at 6.2pm and I confirm you that your Discovery Service declared that it had exactly 443 metadata records to serve. The INSPIRE Geoportal always records and stores the exact responses received from all Network Services:

You need to check with you IT personnel for what was happening at that. It was not a problem with the INSPIRE Geoportal:



Coming to the numbers shown in the Harvesting Consle, there is an unfortunate labelling, that I have already asked to change. I see that not enough has been done and it is still unclear. I hope this picture clarifies:
