Description

Dear Davide,

To speed up our internal process testing and correcting metadata in our National Swedish Metadata Catalogue we would like to use our verification environment to harvest data to the Geoportal Harvest Console. I tested to use the old Discovery Registry environment but realized that it was no longer available. In a support ticket (#3585) I found out that you manually will change the URL to our node on request from us.

For a test period of approximately two weeks (might be a little longer) we want to use the following URL instead of the current registered:

https://ver.geodata.se/geodataportalen/srv/swe/csw-inspire?Request=GetCapabilities&service=CSW&version=2.0.2

Please, can you change the URL for us? We really appreciate a quick response.

Best Regards

Fredrik Persäter

Dear Fredrik,

As per your request, we tried to change the endpoint URL as specified.

It seems the web site "https://ver.geodata.se/geodataportalen/srv/swe/csw-inspire?Request=GetCapabilities&service=CSW&version=2.0.2" is using an invalid security certificate.

Could you please check and confirm?

Kind regards,

Davide

Dear Fredrik,

we are encountering issues contacting the service you specified, apart from the SSL/TLS certificate validity.

Now it seems unavailable/unreachable.

Could you please check?

Kind regards,

Davide

Dear Davide,

The IP-address for the requesting server needed to be added in the firewall. I have added the IP-address for inspire-geoportal.ec.europa.eu, is that correct or is it another ip-address for the harvesting process?  The certificate should be ok. Can you try again and see if you are able to connect?

Kind Regards

Fredrik

Dear Fredrik,

thanks for the information.

Due to security reasons, our harvest server is in a restricted zone.

I already asked to our security team about it and I'm waiting for their approval.

Kind regards,

So which node is currently registered, I suppose our production environment, is that correct?

Hi again,

We have choosen another approach so please keep our old production node as the harvesting node. This means your IT-staff do not need to give us the "secure" ip-address.

Hi again,

New try on this...

We have now set up a new temporary API in our production environment to be able to more quickly handle changes identified when we now systematically are going through Metadata from our Agencies.

Therefore we would like you to change the registered node for harvesting Metadata from Sweden to be:

https://www.geodata.se/geodataportalen/srv/swe/csw-inspire-swe?Request=GetCapabilities&service=CSW&version=2.0.2

Best Regards

Dear Fredrik,

my sincere apologies for the late reply.

It's now done. I already took the opportunity to start and schedule a new harvest session.

I'll keep you posted. Please, if possible, could you check the progress also by your side?

Kind regards,

Davide

Dear Fredrik,

The maintenance procedure is now completed.

I can confirm you that the harvest session I launched has been successfully completed.

Could you please check the results in the harvest console? As usual, you can schedule a new harvest if needed.

We are available for any clarification should you need.

Best regards,

Dear Davide,

We would like you to change, the registered node for harvesting Metadata from Sweden, back to:

https://www.geodata.se/geodataportalen/srv/swe/csw-inspire?Request=GetCapabilities&service=CSW&version=2.0.2

Appreciate if this could be done quite soon.

I took the liberty to start a harvest on your behalf, just to be sure on the effectiveness of the changes.

Estimated end time*: Fri May 29 2020 20:48:16

so you will find the completed harvest, ready to be published.
